Yet another cruise ship outbreak
U.S. health inspectors boarded the cruise ship Carnival Fascination to investigate the latest Norwalk-like virus outbreak to hit cruise ships that sickened 194 people during a weekend cruise from Miami. Over 1,000 passengers have been struck with vomiting and diarrhea and forced Carnival and Disney to cancel cruises. Fascination carried over 3,300 people, including 900 crew.
** Federal officials say there is no evidence that bioterrorists are behind the spate of cruise illnesses.
