Small-cap growth funds rode a stock market rally to solid gains in November, and led performance among mutual fund classes, according to Lipper Inc.'s preliminary data for the month.
Small-cap growth funds jumped 6.52% in the month through Nov 22.
Overall, U.S. stock funds rose 5.1%. The S&P 500 index funds were up 5.13% in the period, Lipper said. For the year, the index funds were down 18.25%.
The Dow gained 4.86% in the period. It rose 20.85% since the latest rally began after the market bottomed on Oct. 9.
