Byline: SEAN HIGGINS
David Mygren came all the way from Queens, N.Y., to join the 100,000 or so anti-war protestors in the nation's capital Saturday. He said he hoped the event would help people "vote their consciences."
So what would his conscience tell him to do in the case of a Democrat who supported President Bush on Iraq?
"I would still vote for the Democrat, even if he voted for war," he said. Why? Because there are too many other things at stake, he says.
Mygren isn't the only one looking past Iraq this election. Polls show it far down on the list of issues voters care about -- even though most think an invasion is likely.
There's little evidence it's swinging the election either way.
It won't, says Larry Sabato, political science professor at the University of Virginia.
