That's exactly the point. By studying charts of stocks at their peaks, your vision won't be clouded the next time you're faced with a tough sell decision.

In part two of this series, we'll examine past big winners and spot clues on when to sell for profits and when to cut losses. Then the next time you buy a stock, you'll know when to sell.

In the late '90s, traders launched even unprofitable optics stocks to huge gains. No surprise that JDS Uniphase, an optical parts maker with huge sales and profit growth, got an even bigger push.
