McDonald's fries to lose "bad' fat
The fast-food chain in Oct. will start cooking french fries and other fried items in an oil that cuts artery-blocking transfatty acids 48% and saturated fat 16%. Total fat won't change as healthier polyunsaturated fat rises 167%. The changes are aimed at addressing health concerns, but may affect taste. McDonald's fries are seen as a key advantage vs. rivals.
Coach raises profit view on sales
The maker of luxury handbags and leather goods expects to earn at least 21 cents a share in Q1, up 50% from a year earlier and 3 cents better than company and analyst forecasts.
