Fidelity National Financial has trended sideways for six weeks after clearing a five-month base. A long-term weekly chart suggests its latest pattern is part of a longer base stretching back to late 2000.
The title insurance firm gets a 96, or A, Overall Rating from IBD Stock Checkup at investors.com. That's third best in its 100-stock Insurance-Property/Casualty/Title group. Its Fundamental Rating is a perfect 99, helped by three-year profit growth of 38% and sales growth of 58%.
Fidelity's Accumulation/Distribution Rating of D+ is a weak spot, showing net selling by institutions.
