Developers line up for shot at Baltimore's new police hq
More than two dozen sites have been offered to the city by private developers in the hope that one of them might land the police department headquarters as a major tenant.
The various buildings offered -- following a city inquiry into available space -- reads like a who's who list of available and potentially available space in the city, including 6 St. Paul Centre, the planned office tower at 414 Water St., The Brokerage and The Candler Building, among others.
The offered space comes in response to a city solicitation in February seeking space in the range of 296,000 square feet to 433,000 square feet, possibly to serve as the future headquarters for the city police department and other city agencies.
