Accredo tumbles on '03 warning

The biotech distributor earned 35 cents a share, a penny above views and nearly double last year's EPS. Sales rose 127% to $364.4 mil on its buy of Gentiva. But Accredo dived 21% to 29.50 after warning it'll fall 3% short of '03 sales views with $1.40 bil-$1.45 bil. It backed its prior EPS outlook of $1.33-$1.38, just shy of analyst views. And its '04 outlook is below views.

ICU Medical dived on Q4 results

The medical products maker met Wall Street estimates of 38 cents a share, up 15% vs. a year ago. Sales rose 16% to $24.1 mil, the third straight quarter of slower growth. That included a one-time licensing fee of $3.2 mil. Without that, analysts said, ICU missed badly. ICU said the results were misinterpreted. But ICU crashed 22% to 28.35.

HMOs off on Anthem, Humana Q4

Anthem made $1.12 a share, up 13% vs. a year ago and 3 cents over views. The Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO sees Q1 below Wall Street estimates, but full-year EPS over views. Anthem's reserves for future medical ...
