Perhaps the greatest area of misunderstanding in the field of nutrition, is the role that minerals, especially the significant trace minerals, play in a person's health. No longer does a balanced diet consist of so many calories or certain vitamins, starches, proteins and carbohydrates. We now know that it must also contain a score of minerals (elements), over 60, according to some scientists !
