Insurance company to offer its risk management services

In response to an increasing demand for disability management expertise, a Portland, Me., insurance company will offer such services to its policyholders in the Pittsburgh region beginning early next year.

UNUM Life Insurance Co. will offer the services here through its newly formed Disability Management Services as the first step of a plan to extend it across the country.

The initiative brings together UNUM's existing rehabilitation and Proactive Risk Management for Employers (PRIME) services and creates a network of on-call specialists.
