Doi facing tsunami of criticism

Social Democratic Party leader Takako Doi's determination to continue to lead her party despite the arrests of former House of Representatives lawmaker Kiyomi Tsujimoto and Doi's former policy secretary Masako Goto along with two others drew criticism from both ruling and opposition blocs Sunday.

If Doi maintains such a stance, it is certain the SDP leader will face a more difficult situation if a lower house election is held in autumn.
