Coach Ritchie McKay said he hopes a soft nonconference schedule will help the University of New Mexico men's basketball team succeed until two of its likely starters become eligible to play.
The Lobos will play two Division II schools San Francisco State and New Mexico Highlands in its first six games next season. Bradley transfer Danny Granger and Portland State transfer Troy DeVries do not become eligible until the seventh game, a Dec. 20 home contest against Coppin State.
