As America's arbiters of automotive taste, you have spoken. What you've chosen are unequivocally America's Best cars, trucks and sport/utility vehicles as identified by the minds and hearts of true car guys and gals. We salute your effort, and you should take comfort in the choices you've made as each is a vehicle you'd point to and say, "Oh, yeah, I can live with that.''
Since 1990 we've asked AutoWeek subscribers to give us the names of the best cars sold in America and we've published the results in the issue nearest to the Fourth of July by way of celebrating the automobile's all-Americana status. You will find the results in the following pages.
You'll note we didn't ask readers to name the best American-made cars; we simply set up car-loving categories and let the best vehicles win. Hey, that's the democratic way, isn't it?
