Travel firms target security rules
The Travel Industry Association of America urged airlines, hotels and cruise lines to write letters to the White House and members of Congress against new rules to keep terrorists from entering the U.S. They'll require machine-readable passports for tourists without a visa, fingerprinting every international traveler, and interviewing applicants for a nonimmigrant U.S. visa. The travel group says the rules would hurt tourism and do little to enhance security.
