Tainted research suits dismissed
Two federal judges threw out class action lawsuits brought by investors who blamed stock losses on research from analysts at four of Wall Street's biggest firms -- Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse First Boston. Mills to buy Fashion Center mall
The real estate investment trust will pay $442 mil for Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, Calif., one of the three biggest U.S. malls, according to the Int'l Council of Shopping Centers. Mills is buying from a private seller with debt and equity, including a $316 mil mortgage closed when the deal was struck.
