More Americans Attacked In Iraq
2President Bush said U.S. troops are needed in Iraq, even as six more were wounded. The U.S. denied responsibility for a mosque explosion that killed 10 in Fallujah. Gunmen killed the chief of Saddam Hussein's tribe in Tikrit, weeks after he disavowed Saddam. But the top U.S. official in Iraq, Paul Bremer, still sees an Iraqi interim administration by mid-July.
Notebook Sales Pass Desktops
3Sales of notebook computers accounted for 54% of spending on PCs at U.S. retail chains in May, according to a report out today by market tracker NPD Techworld. Two years ago the figure was 39%, and a year ago it was 46%. The top three notebook makers, Hewlett-Packard, Dell and Toshiba, are the main beneficiaries of the trend away from desktops.
