RESUMEN

El Manual del Colombiano o explicación de la Ley Natural es un catecismo de orientación ciudadana que circula en Caracas a partir de 1825, y que muchos atribuyen a Tomás Lander. Tras su intención de crear ciudadanos paro la construcción de la república después de las guerras de Independencia, muchas de sus premisas desembocan en el hogar doméstico. Intenta formar lectores de quienes dependerá la suerte de la república; en el fondo, busca objetivos accesibles en la realidad inmediata y el alejamiento de la relación con lo metafísico. Es una propuesta que basta ahora nadie había presentado en Venezuela desde una orientación tan antropológica y materialista. Porque ahora no se habla de pecados, sino de atentados contra el organismo, contra la formación intelectual y contra la laboriosidad propia de las personas juiciosas.

ABSTRACT

The Colombian Manual or explanation of the Natural Law is a catechism of cirio orientation that circulated in Caracas after 1825. Many attribute it to Tomás Lander. He had the intention to create valuable citizens for the construction of the republic after the Wars of Independence, many of their premises referred to the domestic life. It attempted to form citizens of whom would depend the fate of the republic; basically, he searched for objectives in the immediate reality and in the withdrawal from the relationship with the metaphysical reality. Such a proposal, from this anthropological and material point of view, so far nobody had introduced in Venezuela. Because now they are no longer talking about sinning, but rather about attacks against the organista, against the intellectual formation and against the own efforts of the responsible people.
