Strawbridge's flagship store to get overhaul

Take a long look at Strawbridge & Clothier's flagship store when making your holiday purchases this year. The company will ring out the old and ring in a four-year-long store renovation scheduled to start in January with an overhaul of the basement-level Budget Store.

William Timmons, Strawbridge's vice president of sales promotion, said the time had come for modernizing the massive Philadelphia department store, but he would not disclose the projected budget for the work.
