Geopolitica europea y latinoamericana.

Resumen

En este artículo, el autor señala que aunque la geopolítica europea y la geopolítica latinoamericana tienen rasgos distintivos entre sí, ambas están basadas en los preceptos de pensadores del Viejo Mundo. Presenta las características fundamentales de cada modelo y agrega que las transformaciones del panorama mundial actual han hecho necesario que los análisis geopolíticos sean enriquecidos, pues además de considerar los aspectos de tiempo y espacio, deben contemplar enfoques históricos. Por otro lado, el autor señala que la historia de cada una de las naciones rebasa sus propias fronteras, y que para que adquiera una dimensión real y sentido verdadero, es necesario visualizarla desde la perspectiva de la teoría de los ciclos históricos y sus respectivos procesos. Bajo estas premisas, el autor presenta una serie de ejemplos que contribuyen a caracterizar la geopolítica europea y latinoamericana, enfatizando la interrelación entre ambas regiones. Concluye que el periodo de las historias nacionales individuales ha finalizado y ha dado paso a la geohistoria de los procesos y de los conjuntos nacionales y regionales.

Abstract

In this article, the author points out that although the geopolitics in Europe and Latin America has distinctive features to each other, both are based on the precepts of thinkers of the Old World. He presents the fundamental characteristics of each pattern and adds that the transformations of the current world panorama have made necessary that the geopolitical analyses should be enriched, because besides of considering the aspects of time and space they should contemplate historical focuses. On the other hand, the author points out that the history of each one of the nations surpasses its own frontiers, and so that it acquires a real dimension and true sense, it's necessary to visualize it from the perspective of the theory of the historical cycles and its respective processes. Under these premises, the author presents a series of examples that contribute to characterize the European and Latin American geopolitics, emphasizing the interrelation among both regions. It concludes that the national singular histories period has concluded and it has opened the way to the geohistory of the processes and of the national and regional groups.
