RAYNAL: This certainly is a kick in the slats to the $45,000 3 Series I drove last week. The BMW is excellent, but this Acura is quite good, and the price difference is astounding. The Accord suspension is tuned to be stiffer for the Acura, but it wasn't too harsh. It feels a bit lighter on its feet than the 3. Power felt like plenty (keep the revs above 3k), the engine is smooth, smooth, smooth and the gearbox is typical Honda slick. The interior is comfortable and looks and feels well assembled. The overall feeling is one of refinement and precision-as I'd expect from Honda.
