HOMINY AND JAMES BEARD
Hominy Grill's chef/proprietor Robert Stehling has been invited to participate in preparing a dinner at the James Beard House in New York in honor of his former food mentor, Bill Neal. Stehling began his career as a dishwasher at Crook's Corner in the early 1980s and eventually rose to the position of executive chef.
"During the six years that I worked under Bill, I learned how to eat and from this I learned who I was.
