Venture Capital Metallic Power Inc., a company developing recyclable, zinc-based fuel cell technology, announced Wednesday, May 28, that it closed a $13.5 million fourth round of venture capital funding from two new investors -- CDP Capital-Technology Ventures of Montreal and Norsk Hydro Technology Ventures of Oslo, -- along with other backers.

Participating in the round were all of the company's major current investors: Arete Corp. of Center Harbor, N.H.; The Beacon Group of New York; Cinergy Ventures LLC of Cincinnati, the venture capital arm of Cinergy Corp.; Teck Cominco Ltd. of Vancouver, British Columbia; Hydro-Quebec CapiTech of Montreal; MP Investments Inc. of Duluth, Minn.; Nth Power LLC of San Francisco; and Perseus LLC of New York.
