While the STi is out grabbing headlines for Subaru, the standard WRX is grabbing some attention from the automaker's chief motorsports partner.

The new stateside arm of Prodrive has created a Dealer Limited Edition WRX-the first Prodrive-modified WRX for the U.S. market-and is selling the vehicle through Irvine Subaru's SPI Motorsports. Prodrive may expand its distribution beyond California, but for now Irvine Subaru has sold five of the 25 DLE WRXs and expects to see each one gobbled up on an as-ready basis.
