According to the latest report from J.D. Power and Associates, buyers rank sizzling sellers Mini and Hummer among the worst-quality vehicles.
How so, you ask? As it turns out, J.D. Power's quality quiz asked 56,000 people who bought 2003-model-year cars to report on 135 potential problem areas- including areas unrelated to quality. Mini, for instance, was knocked for having odd cupholders. Even more absurd, Hummer H2 owners criticized their 8000-pound behemoths for poor fuel economy.
Jack Pitney, head of Mini USA, says the company is taking action, such as sending each owner a drink mug specifically designed to fit the Mini's cupholders.
