That's what you think
Whatever the opinions of the "experts,'' all I can tell you is that at a recent auto show sponsored by Northwood University, the only car surrounded by high-school and college-age folks was the Scion xB (AW, April 28). Judging by that reception, Toyota is on target.

I'm 24 and male, the perfect demograph- ic for the Honda Element and Toyota Scion. I'll never buy one. Give me a beefy chassis, real on-demand 4wd and locking differentials. Until then, I'll throw my Mazda Protege ES around on the curves.

I just finished reading your April 28 issue and I haven't felt so good in a long time about driving my 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo wagon. After looking at the Honda Element and the Scion xB, I'm gonna keep driving it until the wheels fall off. What's with the "Brave Little Toaster'' look? The thing it has going for it is price.
