VAIL, COLD. -- "Whom have you talked to about this case?" is one of several questions doctors may be asked in depositions for a malpractice case, said Susan West, R.N., director of risk management at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

If a medical malpractice case proceeds to litigation, doctors could be called to the stand to testify about conversations in which they discussed the case, Ms. West said at the annual Vail Obstetrics & Gynecology Conference.
