The Smart and Secure Tradelanes network is growing, gaining new members and expanding to new ports in China, the Americas and Europe.

Hong Kong-based China Merchants Holdings, a container terminal operator in Hong Kong and mainland China, joined the SST network April 24, extending the program to the Chinese port of Shenzen. Another Hong Kong-based port operator and developer, Hutchison Port Holdings, plans to extend the SST network to Yantian, China.

SSA Marine, a Seattle-based terminal operator, also joined the program last month, promising to extend the SST network into Latin America and inland through intermodal rail operations. And terminal operators at three of Europe's largest ports -- Rotterdam and …
