Turkey admits Baku-Ceyhan delays. (News: Caspian).

Turkish foreign minister Abdullah Gul has admitted that construction of the Turkish section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) crude pipeline has been stalled by delays over the expropriation of land for the $2.95bn pipeline. And the minister admitted that there are unresolved problems over the pipeline's financing and the tax liabilities of the BP-led BTC consortium.

The admission follows complaints from BTC earlier this month over delays caused by the replacement of several top officials at Turkey's national pipeline operator Botas (FSUE. 18 April, p4).
