HYDERABAD: The pro-Telangana statement made by film actress and BJP Mahila Morcha vice-president S Vijayashanti has irked the party leaders in the state. Top party functionaries will discuss the issue at a meeting to be held on Sunday.
The actress is known to have a close rapport with senior party leaders including deputy prime minister L K Advani.
The party leadership had taken the statement seriously as it feels it could affect the BJP's relations with the ruling Telugu Desam Party. The party will discuss the issue at the party office bearers meeting on Sunday, a senior party leader said. …
