Earlier this year, the US E Department of Energy (DOE) responded to a Congressional request to prepare a report describing the technical and economic barriers to the use of fuel cells in transportation, and in portable, stationary, and distributed power generation applications. Congress also requested that DOE assess the need for public-private cooperative programs to demonstrate the use of fuel cells in commercial-scale applications. The aim of DOE's Fuel Cell Report to Congress is to respond to these requests.
