There isn't a library in the world, be it public, academic, or private, that isn't home to numerous volumes of Penguin Classics. The books are such universal staples that, remarkably, the black-and-orange logo of the aquatic bird adorning the books is one of the most recognized brands in the world. Penguin's vast selection of titles parallels culture and the printed word itself, with authors reaching as far back as the Greeks and Romans on up to the 20th-century's literary titans. Though Penguin Classics highlight works from the past, the publisher is looking toward the future with a thorough redesign of the line to "reassert [its] prominent position as the publisher of classics in the English-speaking world."
