Prime Minister Thaksin Shinwatra believes that negative effects of SARS on tourism and economy will not be long-lasting. The Government will offset problematic economic sectors by stimulating other economic activities. Concerning tourism, the Prime Minister admitted that it is quite difficult under the present situation, so responsible authorities must work harder to achieve the set target.
