WASHINGTON -- AOL Time Warner's Washington lobbying shop has landed Shawn Bentley, previously a top GOP intellectual property expert on Capitol Hill, as senior veep for domestic public policy.
Bentley spent 10 years on the Senate Judiciary Committee staff, most recently as the chief counsel and top adviser on intellectual property to chairman Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah). He was previously an associate at Dow, Lohnes & Albertson in Washington, where he specialized in intellectual property and antitrust litigation.
Bentley will replace Elizabeth Frazee, who served as one of the company's top Capitol Hill reps for more than five years. Frazee recently left the company to start a consulting business with AOL Time Warner as a client.
